Bhagwan Mahavir School of Nursing, Vesu, Surat, was established in 2009 by Bhagwan Mahavir Education Foundation with the vision of preparing competent and compassionate nursing professionals. The college began with the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme with an intake of 40 seats, affiliated to the Gujarat Nursing Council and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). In 2019, the institution expanded its academic horizon by starting the Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme with an intake of 60 students, followed by the Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme in 2021 with an intake of 40 students, under the affiliation of Bhagwan Mahavir University.
Nurses to be provided sound basic nursing education, nurtured, encouraged to believe in themselves and instilled with the values of service to the society.
BMN believes in training professional nurses from all states of India to meet the great challenges of service in the field of nursing. The college believes in a system of nursing education that fits in with the changing educational patterns of the country to meet health needs of the society.

Since its inception in 2009 with the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) program under Bhagwan Mahavir Education Foundation, the institution has steadily grown with the commencement of the Basic B.Sc Nursing program in 2019 and the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing program in 2021 under Bhagwan Mahavir University.

10+2 with English and must have obtained a minimum of 40% at the qualifying examination and English individually for any recognized board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government. However Science is preferable.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in vocational ANM course from the school recognized by Indian Nursing council.
10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational Stream-Health care Science from a recognized CBSE board/Centre.

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.10+2 class passed with science(PCB) and English core/English elective with aggregate of 45%marks from recognised board under AISSCF/CBSE/ICSE/SSCF/HSCF or other equalent board.Student shall be medically fit. Students appearing in 10+2 examination in science conducted by National Institute of OpenSchool with 45% marks.
