An Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) serves as the cornerstone of quality enhancement in educational institutions. Established in line with the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC is not merely a formal requirement but a strategic mechanism that drives excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The primary role of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution. It functions as a quality sustenance and quality enhancement framework, ensuring that the institution not only meets but also exceeds the benchmarks of academic and
administrative excellence.
By fostering a culture of quality, the IQAC continuously monitors
academic, administrative, and co-curricular activities, encouraging
participatory decision-making and collective responsibility. It acts
as a dynamic hub that integrates the institution’s best practices,
encourages innovative teaching–learning processes, strengthens
research and extension activities, and ensures transparency and
accountability in governance.
