The demand for quality healthcare medication has been on a constant rise with India’s continuous growth in manufacturer, distributer and supplier of medicines. To fulfill the demand of the pharmaceutical industry, Bhagwan Mahavir College of Pharmacy offers two years (Four Semesters) postgraduate programme in Pharmaceutics specialization approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The course provides the students with an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. The course addresses a scientific area of development of pharmaceutical products. It is designed to familiarize the student with the fundamental principles pertaining to and the techniques employed in the formulation design for pharmaceutical agents. Introduction of the student to research techniques in the pharmaceutical sciences is made at the initial stage of their studies, which enriches their understanding and application of their knowledge during their research projects. Student will complete the course with advanced knowledge and skills applicable for a variety of practice settings in dosage form design, manufacturing technology, regulatory aspects, patents, quality control and quality assurance.

Duration

The course shall extend over two years, consisting of three trimesters in the first year, followed by research work on industry related project and submission of dissertation in the second year.
